Callum is a proponent of sustainable, low to zero carbon structural design with expertise in the education, commercial, logistics, residential, aviation, and energy sectors. He’s knowledgeable about construction materials and techniques that help deliver low to zero carbon outcomes. Spearheading our embodied carbon advisory service, he specialises in engaging with development and construction teams. He works with them at the earliest stage of a project to assess the most commercial and sustainable routes to reduce embodied carbon in a building’s design.
As our sector lead for later living, Callum has a detailed understanding of emerging design trends for integrated retirement communities. Notably, he’s led the structural engineering design of a £30 million later living complex. He’s also led the design of massive logistic units, and a low carbon new schools programme. His broad experience also includes delivering the structural design to construct 67 offshore wind turbine foundations, as well as design and analysis of structures across the UK nuclear estate.
When he isn’t working on low carbon structural design, Callum enjoys volunteering with local organisations and spending time with his wife and children.
