Born in Belfast, Mathew moved to London to start his career and is currently an assistant civil engineer. Since joining us in 2021, he has predominantly been working on the Otterpool Park development, collaborating closely with ecology, utilities, archaeology, drainage, and highways teams. He has been involved with the development of the wastewater wetlands area of the site and the tightly constrained Newingreen Junction and gained experience in street lighting design and preliminary design of foul and surface water drainage.
Mathew is also involved with our Developing Professionals Group (DPG), moving from office DPG lead to lead for the South East of England. In this current role, he has been working closely with the United Kingdom and Ireland lead, Olohije Akpengbe, to help the six area offices with running events and maintaining a budget for those events.
When he isn’t busy working on his latest civil engineering project or with DPG events, Mathew is a keen runner, cyclist, and cricketer who also enjoys exploring London when he gets the chance.
