Southern Water appoints Stantec to AMP8 Professional Services Framework

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, has been appointed to Southern Water’s Professional Services Framework. Stantec will provide its long-standing client with a range of technical consultancy services for vital water and wastewater projects throughout the AMP8 period.

Stantec has been awarded a position on Lot 3 Technical & Engineering Support Services.The framework runs for five years, with an option to extend by another three years. It allows Stantec to support Southern Water with specialist expertise and insight when designing and delivering vital resilience and improvement schemes across its networks.

Southern Water supplies drinking water to approximately 2.5 million households and treats and recycles wastewater from more than 4.7 million households across Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight.

From identifying and designing new nature-based solutions to improve water quality, reduce overflows, and boost biodiversity to spearheading best practices in hydraulic modelling, water recycling and digital innovation, projects within Southern Water’s Professional Services Framework will help future-proof water networks and communities across the South of England.

Since 2005 and AMP4, Stantec have worked collaboratively with Southern Water to deliver innovative engineering solutions and optimised programme management approaches. Since 2015, Stantec has served as the water company’s Strategic Solutions Partner.

This most recent framework appointment will see Stantec’s growing water teams continue to partner with Southern Water to help improve water quality, boost network resilience, and address resource pressures. Stantec has expanded its presence across the South East in recent years and opened a new 4,400-square-foot office in the heart of Brighton in 2023.
