Jonathan Cutting joins Stantec as technical director in water business
Cutting will support Stantec’s clients in rising to their urban drainage and overflow challenges

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, has appointed Jonathan Cutting as technical director in the water business.
In his new role, Cutting will use his extensive knowledge of sewer networks and urban drainage to add further depth and expertise to Stantec’s technical leadership.
Cutting joins the firm from WSP where he held the position of technical director for Urban Drainage. His experience and portfolio will support Stantec’s water business, and directly contribute to the management of clients’ wastewater networks across the UK and Ireland—especially in association with significant programmes of work to reduce the occurrence of storm overflow spills.
Cutting brings a wealth of experience to Stantec. During the past 20 years, he has worked with almost every UK water company on their urban drainage challenges. This involved leading frameworks, delivering modelling programmes, and developing drainage and wastewater-management plans. He has also helped develop best practices in this field internationally in both Canada and Australia.
