Stantec appointed to National Grid Design and Project Services Framework

Stantec has been appointed to National Grid’s Design and Project Services (DPS) Framework. The appointment includes success on a number of key lots for the delivery of design and project services to support the National Grid RIIO-2 programme.

Stantec has been successful on seven lots including Civils, HVDC, Substations, Multi-disciplinary Design, Onshore Cables, Offshore Cables, and Project Services. The 4-year (plus potential extensions) framework will mainly ensure the delivery of Front End Engineering Design and Project Services.

Stantec will bring its industry wide experience to help drive innovative cost and carbon saving solutions for National Grid. The acquisition of Teshmont by Stantec allows the team to provide extensive specialist HVDC and cabling experience to support National Grid in its aims to reach the UK Government’s increased target of 50GW of offshore wind generation by 2030.

Stantec is also on National Grid’s Environmental Services Framework. As a result of this second framework, Stantec can now support delivery of the full project lifecycle for National Grid, from environmental services and front end design, to detailed design and project and programme management.
