Reducing deaths and serious injuries by providing a safer, more forgiving environment for all road users is important to Mel. As a safety practitioner, she provides a wide range of safety inputs to our clients including road safety auditing, safe systems assessment, temporary traffic management, crash analysis, economic evaluation, and preparing strategic safety documents.
Mel loves making a difference for the communities we serve by ensuring their transport networks are safe. For example, she’s part of a group of industry professionals who are creating a national registry of safety auditors to improve both auditor skill level and the quality of audits. The result? Helping clients identify who they can employ to undertake project auditing and the establishment of a safety practitioner’s technical group that will provide a road safety community of practice.
In her spare time, Mel enjoys hanging out with her daughter and doing home and garden projects.
