An enthusiastic big-picture thinker, Johanna is driven to keep our clients and communities informed, included, and heard while providing project cost efficiency and positive exposure. She knows good communication isn’t about how much you talk—it requires paying a lot of attention, having empathy, and being a good listener. In this exciting and evolving space, what she enjoys most is knowing her stakeholders feel heard and appreciated, that their contribution is more than just a box-ticking exercise.
With international, multidisciplinary experience, Johanna contributes innovative and comprehensive solutions that meet project goals. She’s led communications and engagement for several highly sensitive projects, including the Mataikona Road Improvement Project and, most recently, the Marlborough Sounds Future Access Study. Here, Johanna worked with impacted community members, businesses, and seasonal residents to clearly set out the important role they played in identifying potential solutions. Her approach formed the basis of ongoing communication with key stakeholders and instilled widespread confidence in the project processes and options presented.
Hailing from Canada, Johanna loves to get out and explore more of Aotearoa’s beauty whenever she can.
