Shadow Creek High School

Right now, change seems to be the only given in the world of education. Major pedagogical shifts are redefining our learning culture—and supporting these dynamic changes means reinventing our educational spaces.

The driving force behind the design of Shadow Creek High School is flexibility. A robust model of 21st century learning, this facility offers students an engaging and personalized educational experience in a collegiate environment, letting them explore beyond their everyday experiences and prepare for a global future.

By breaking down the learning setting into smaller learning houses, the school fosters culture and community, promoting educational experiences that are new. Unexpected. Exciting. Each community has multiple space types to encourage student engagement and collaboration, from standard classrooms to small group project areas to large group instruction spaces. In central workroom areas, educators design curriculums based on learning level rather than grade level.

This unique community model provides educators with the flexibility to teach multiple subjects to the same group of students throughout high school or to teach individual subjects traditionally
