Transforming a flat plot of land into a community hub for entertainment

One field. That’s what Chinook Winds Regional Park used to be. But the City of Airdrie had bigger plans for the area. They wanted to create a first-class destination for Southern Alberta, something that families would be excited to visit, and that could support year-round recreation.

Now, visitors can play ball on eight regulation fields. In a safe environment, skateboarders can practice and perform their latest tricks. Pucks fly at the hockey rink, and with trails, playgrounds, and other amenities—there’s something for nearly everyone. Chinook Winds was a full scale landscape design and build project that we know the community will enjoy for years to come.
