Matt is passionate about advancing energy efficiency in buildings. As a studio lead for sustainability, he identifies and evaluates the feasibility of energy conservation measures to optimize building performance and sustainability.
With experience in the demand-side energy services industry, Matt has worked on complex facility designs across commercial, medical, industrial, and public sectors. In his current position, he leads sustainability initiatives through retro-commissioning, monitoring-based commissioning, energy audits, and guiding buildings to comply with local performance standards.
When he’s not working to improve building performance, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, fixing up his old house, and traveling. He’s also a huge Fighting Illini fan and likes going to concerts.
