As an electrical engineer and project manager, Alex has built his career at Stantec, first starting with us as an engineer in training (EIT). His passion is for electrical power distribution analysis and design, and his efficiency in power system modeling and analysis and study report generation make him an invaluable member of any team.
Alex provides specialized electrical system modeling and analysis using software such as OSI ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, and SES CDEGS. His specialties include coordination, short circuit, device evaluation, load flow, harmonic analysis, arc flash analysis, and ground grid studies. He has experience evaluating the electrical distribution systems of large, complex, and critical facilities, determining optimizations and recommendations to reduce downtime and make overall systems more robust. Also providing electrical design engineering for buildings, Alex’s duties can range from site investigation to detailed design drawings.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys reading, hiking, and swimming, and is an amateur 3D GO player.
