His genuine love for our beautiful planet and passion to make it a better place to live—not only for human beings but for other living species as well—is what got Chong into this profession.
Chong primarily focuses on the technical reporting and project management of projects within the landfill, remediation, and contaminated land space, and he thoroughly enjoys working across a wide spectrum of industries, improving the overall environmental outcomes for the communities in which we live.
One of Chong’s career highlights? His work on a 42.1-hectare (104-acre) historical landfill site which includes collection and managing of a significant monitoring dataset, undertaking landfill gas risk assessment based on the data collected, as well as the preparation of a mitigation plan for identified potential landfill gas risks.
When he isn’t delivering environmental engineering reports and assessments, Chong enjoys being surrounded by the ocean, whether it’s to swim, kayak, or paddle board.
