A member of our Nature-based Carbon Solutions (NbCS) team, McKenzie is involved in all aspects of our natural climate solutions services. Her interdisciplinary background in environmental engineering, sustainability, and socially engaged design informs her approach to project work.
McKenzie’s landscape carbon accounting skills span multiple ecosystem types, including forests, grasslands, agriculture, and mangrove systems. She strives to create projects that generate high-integrity carbon offsets and host co-benefits. McKenzie’s favorite projects have been rooted in international carbon offset development, for which she’s researched carbon policy, anticipated project impacts on local communities, and identified project areas based on geospatial data.
When she’s not busy promoting sustainable solutions, McKenzie enjoys surfing, skiing, and camping her way across her new home in the Pacific Northwest. In her downtime, you can find her cooking, click-clacking on the typewriter, or making music.
