With over 25 years of engineering consulting experience, Paula is an environmental scientist who has honed her project management skills overseeing complex mining site assessment and closure projects. She’s worked on a variety of federal, industrial, private, and mine-related projects. She has served as a project coordinator and task manager, project field ecologist, environmental scientist, database administrator and manager, and wetland scientist.
As the business center practice lead for our Mining, Minerals, and Metals group, she has grown our Mining Project Management team while mentoring and guiding colleagues. She also supports project resourcing and engages with leadership on process improvements. She emphasizes open and honest communication in all matters and strives to execute projects efficiently with a focus on quality and safety.
When she isn’t managing mining projects, Paula enjoys spending time with her husband, teenage boys, friends, and two dogs. She loves skiing, mountain biking, and gardening. Additionally, she teaches project management courses through the Professional Education Department at the University of Utah.
