With over three decades of experience in the design and construction of infrastructure for mines, Andrew is a civil engineer. He has taken on a variety of assignments in the United States and overseas, performing design, inspection, and management functions, and gained a wide range of experience through leading projects from conception through implementation.
Andrew’s project experience extends through the entire mining lifecycle and includes several mine closure projects. He brings valuable technical and project experience to delivery of our projects. His approach to planning and design is tempered by his construction and mine closure experience, and he continues to learn from monitoring facilities that have already closed. Andrew is also part of our Tailings Integrity team, supporting the various groups providing Engineer of Record services to the mining industry.
Over the course of his career, Andrew has authored a number of papers and articles and contributes to the practice of tailings and water through short courses and workshops about risk, water management, and how to meet social and financial obligations.
