Susan is the executive vice president of Stantec’s Infrastructure business. She has more than 30 years of experience in planning, design, and construction of transportation infrastructure projects.
Susan is keenly invested in ensuring that our communities are resilient and sustainable, ready to face whatever tomorrow may bring. Known for creative problem solving, innovative construction staging, project management skills, and her analytical insight into design, Susan earns community buy-in while keeping infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Susan formerly led Stantec’s Transportation business, including the Company’s transit, road, rail, bridge, and non-motorized transportation activities in North America. She has a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Bucknell University.
Among Susan’s signature projects are the Long Island Rail Road expansion, a project that will add a third track to the heavily used Main Line that carries more than 300,000 passengers daily; the Atlantic Yards, a US$2 billion transit-oriented development project in Brooklyn, New York; New York City Transit’s South Ferry Tunnel and Terminal; and the State Highway 288 Toll Lanes Project in Houston, Texas.
