With over 35 years of experience in project management and archaeology consulting, Colin’s primary focus is historical resources. He has completed numerous projects for public and private sector clients, acting as project manager and key client contact for standing services contracts with the National Capital Commission, the City of Hamilton, Infrastructure Ontario, the City of Ottawa, Niagara Region and Niagara Parks Commission.
One of Colin’s more memorable projects was the Stage 2-4 archaeological assessment work completed during the site remediation of the LeBreton Flats in Ottawa. These assessments included a variety of 19th and 20th century sites and documented the mansion of an Ottawa lumber baron, several working-class residences, and a market area. This project played an important role in establishing Stantec’s archaeological presence in the National Capital Region.
Colin enjoys music, old movies, reading, and developing his knowledge of the art of the sommelier. He’s also a devoted fan of the Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Steelers.
