As a practice leader for our community development team and a landscape architect with 14 years of experience, Wendy is focused on supporting business development initiatives in the North Central region. Throughout her career, she has provided leadership to multidisciplinary teams on a wide variety of master planning projects in the municipal, transportation, higher education, and industrial development sectors.

In addition to her master planning focus, Wendy particularly enjoys working on projects that support economic development and downtown revitalization of rural communities throughout the Midwest. Recently, she engaged our facilities planning team to update the comprehensive master plan for the North Dakota State Capitol grounds. Though COVID impacts significantly altered the typical collaboration approach, Wendy successfully led both the planning and client team through an expedited project schedule that was completed exclusively through virtual meeting platforms.

In her spare time, Wendy engages with her community through service on numerous boards including the Bismarck-Mandan Economic Development Association, the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber Board of Directors, the North Dakota Capitol Grounds Planning Commission, the Bismarck City Planning & Zoning Commission, The Missouri Valley YMCA Board of Directors, and the Bismarck-Mandan Junior Achievement Advisory Committee. When she’s not volunteering her time, Wendy likes to recharge with her family—spending time hiking, camping, and exploring the different areas of the high plains.
