Based in Santiago, Chile, Rosario is a country manager with over 25 years of experience holding key positions in the environmental field. In that time she’s focused on performing studies, assessments, and audits for projects in mining, energy, industrial, real estate development and infrastructure in both the public and private sectors.
In the public sphere, Rosario has served on teams in charge of environmental impact assessments and declarations, with a primary focus on the treatment of socioeconomic issues. In the private sphere, she’s performed environmental assessments at the prefeasibility quality level for toll highway concession projects, infrastructure, petrochemicals, energy and mining in all Chilean administrative regions. Rosario has been a permanent staff member of prestigious consulting companies, where, in addition to performing studies in her own discipline both in Chile and abroad, she has led and coordinated multidisciplinary teams on the execution of environmental projects of large complexity.
Since joining Stantec, Rosario has participated in several projects involving mining projects in Chile, Argentina, and Peru for BHP Billiton, Freeport, Coeur d’Alene, Anglo American, Barrick and Teck.
