Alaska connects communities through high level transportation system design and ensures that proper planning and due diligence goes into public transport, roading corridors, and active mode facilities. As a panel member for one of our largest accounts, he’s responsible for tracking data and opportunities, and watching the latest market trends.
As a civil engineer, Alaska made a pledge to serve our communities, and he does that by meeting them in person and empowering them to help him improve the way our goods, services and people move and connect. Part of this is working on business cases—he enjoys the research and analysis, but mostly he likes telling the story of a community to get the best solutions.
Alaska is also an ambassador for Stantec’s GenerationAV, which is all about preparing for the transportation future of autonomous vehicles. The GenerationAV global group he’s part of is working towards a safer, more sustainable, and more efficient future.
Far from any keyboard or screen, you’ll find Alaska exploring urban parks or his favorite place in the world: the Abel Tasman National Park.
