Principal, Geohazards and Geomorphology

Photo of Sid

Sid is a senior geoscientist with over 30 years of experience in applied Quaternary geomorphology. He started his career in British Columbia as a terrain mapper under one of the province’s experts and from that experience learned the value of mentoring. He also conducts fieldwork and pursues growth opportunities for our Geohazards and Geomorphology team.

With a focus on terrain mapping and aerial photo interpretation, Sid knows changing your point of view changes what you perceive, often with valuable insights. His portfolio includes terrain and terrain stability mapping for over 900,000 hectares (2.2 million acres) in British Columbia. Some major projects he’s proud of include the City of Burnaby Citywide Slopes and Ravines Inventory and Hazards Assessment and Woodfibre Liquefied Natural Gas project. He’s also published on a variety of topics, including on the Quaternary glacial record in British Columbia.

In his spare time, Sid bikes, explores local parks, and enjoys nature with his two daughters.
