Driven by delivering meaningful and impactful projects, Babak is a coastal resilience engineer with experience in research and applied coastal engineering. He has a robust background in coastal hazard assessment, flood adaptation and mitigation strategy development, and vulnerability assessment projects.
With strong surveying and project management skills, Babak has extensive experience developing hydrodynamic, wave, sediment transport, and morphology change models. He also performs analyses of coastal hydrodynamics to help address both short- and long-term climate events and changes. In addition to his design work, Babak prides himself on helping communities understand their vulnerabilities to sea level rise and develop their mitigation and adaptation plan strategies accordingly.
No surprise based on his line of work, Babak loves the ocean and starts almost every day of the week with a swim in the Pacific.
