Miranda is an engineer with a background working on highway design projects for Minnesota Department of Transportation and counties across the state. Her keen attention to detail—combined with her commitment to improving the local community—contributes to the thoughtful perspective she brings to the projects she works on.
As a roadway design lead, Miranda’s main goal is to keep the client’s and residents’ needs in mind while also improving the overall roadway design with the least amount of property impacts. Although her work on transportation projects ranges from city centers and county-state-aid highway corridors to neighborhood city streets, her emphasis on creating safe, secure, and comfortable places for people to travel remains constant.
Miranda enjoys spending time outside at the local farmers market or on a weekend away at her grandparents’ cabin. She also loves walking and biking to destinations in her city which is what drives her passion forward for urban transportation design.
