With both an engineering and legal background, Andrew has a rare perspective for planning and executing large mining projects and understands their unique challenges. He’s performed regulatory reporting for the Tailings Management Framework, as well as for Directives 84 and 82 to the Alberta Energy Regulator for continuing site certification. He has a master’s of law with a specialization in energy and infrastructure.
Over the course of his career, Andrew has led teams in creating large-scale mine operating and capital budgets valued at over $1 billion. He’s an advocate for sustainable mining practices and has supported indigenous relations and community engagement for many mining projects. He’s currently the environment, social, and governance lead for our Mining, Minerals and Metals group in Canada.
Andrew enjoys running marathons and competing in triathlons. He also likes to hike, camp, and play with his two young children.
