For Mark, innovation is what geospatial services are all about, and what drives him. He’s continually improving on existing processes to get better results for his clients—combining new methods with emerging technology to rethink conventional workflows. He has a true passion for geospatial data and its evolution as a foundation for uniting data to reveal valuable information for clients.
He has designed a variety of automated toolkits and process models in support of oil and gas pipeline data management systems, ranging from database initializations and evaluations to consequence analysis and class location assessments in support of risk management. One of his most rewarding initiatives was developing a spatial data analysis platform to validate and enhance the quality of pipeline in-line-inspection positional data to improve the success rate of corresponding repair excavations. In addition to significant repair cost savings, the technology improves safety by reducing the number of excavations required.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Mark has realized a true passion for travel and the great outdoors. When not exploring a new international destination, he spends his time in the stunning North American wilderness camping, hiking, biking, SUP, and golfing.
