Fueled by a passion for sustainability, Kehl embarked on a career dedicated to helping steer the world toward a low-carbon economy. He began by working at natural gas plants right out of high school and earning a degree in chemical process engineering. Now, he’s a project engineer with experience ranging from field operator, project management, detailed engineering, and construction to commissioning of brownfield and large greenfield capital projects including carbon capture and storage initiatives.
Currently, Kehl’s focus centers on post-combustion carbon capture systems and project development—he keeps a sharp eye on cutting-edge carbon capture technology development. His day-to-day work involves leading various engineering disciplines within our carbon capture and decarbonization project portfolio. In this role, he draws on his ability to recognize trends and industry dynamics and has a keen aptitude for identifying innovative solutions.
