Amelia (Amy) is a registered professional planner with many years of experience in the public sector before joining the community development team at Stantec. Working at various levels of government, she’s had a hand in many complex, long-range policy projects.
Working with our team in London, Ontario, Amy is well-versed in provincial legislation and has specific experience with land use planning policy in the rural and agricultural areas of Ontario. She has worked as a provincial and county planner and thrives in her position—she truly enjoys the direct impact she has on communities by engaging and empowering citizens to make decisions and influence the form and function of their cities and towns.
Since growing up on an apple farm in Elgin County, operating a family farm market, Amy has lived many places, including Jamaica, France, England, Halifax, and throughout Ontario. This has further informed how she thinks about planning integrated and sustainable communities. Amy also enjoys spending time close to water—sailing, swimming, and anything in between.
