Working in the water space and focusing on solids handling, Shyam embraces the idea of creating value from waste. He finds it exciting to be part of the water industry during the paradigm shift toward biosolids and potable water reuse.
As a water and wastewater process engineer, Shyam works on wastewater treatment, biosolids processing, solids dewatering, and wastewater pump station design. His technical expertise includes bench scale studies, pilot testing, and creating preliminary and detailed design. Some of the key projects that he’s been involved with include a dewatering pilot study for Pinellas County and solids handling for the Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 2.
Outside of work, Shyam actively follows tennis and enjoys playing it too. He also loves going on road trips with friends, technical writing, thrillers, comedies, and courtroom drama movies.
