Throughout her career, Rhonda has been involved in many functional planning studies including a freeway corridor management study, long-term network planning, and the development of a highway classification network in Canada. Her range of project experience includes highway realignments, geometric improvements, interchanges, access management, and traffic impact studies.
One of her latest opportunities comes from an assignment in New York—she’ll be working on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). The project will add a third rail track to increase passenger capacity for LIRR’s Main Line, which already transports more than 350,000 passengers daily. Working with the senior project management team, Rhonda will coordinate various disciplines on the project.
As one of the founding members of the Women@Stantec employee resource group, Rhonda is passionate about seeing women in leadership roles and paving the way for other women in STEM. With abundant examples, more women will see how they can succeed in a male-dominated industry.
Rhonda enjoys living, playing, and working in her hometown of Edmonton, and you can usually find her enjoying the river valley, farmer’s markets, or checking out the many festivals, events, and activities.
