In her role as principal and environmental planner, Coleen draws on her natural resource management knowledge and extensive professional planning experience. With a planning practice that spans more than three decades, she focuses on natural resource, land use, community, and safety planning that incorporates and supports local and regional resilience. Her work includes leading California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) clearance efforts.
Whether it’s for a rural county master plan or a large landscape forest health initiative across U.S. Forest Service managed lands, Coleen enjoys bringing diverse agencies with multiple missions together to create comprehensive plans. With a keen ability to engage and facilitate multi-interests, she helps create outcomes that meet client needs, regulatory requirements, and invest the participants in the outcome. The depth of her experience managing public outreach and engagement efforts includes an array of project types, interested participants, and all levels of controversy.
Coleen’s work and life passion come together in the Sierra Nevada, where she also spends down-time hiking, skiing, swimming, backpacking, and sharing time with family and friends in the Range of Light.
