A licensed professional engineer with over 23 years of experience on world-renowned projects, Aguiade focuses on the planning, preliminary design, and detail design of bridges, retaining walls, industrial structures, and culverts. His experience also includes the capacity rating and rehabilitation of heavy and LRT railway bridges. As a lead bridge engineer and team lead in alternative delivery projects including P3 and design-build, Aguiade was responsible for managing large group of engineers, interdisciplinary coordination, QA/QC, value engineering, schedule, and budget control.
As director of operations, Aguiade leads and oversees the Eastern Region Bridge group’s organization, project delivery, business development, recruitment, budgeting, tracking, and reporting. Leveraging his thorough understanding of bridge design and construction of complex transportation infrastructure projects, Aguiade also regularly participates in reflecting current and future client needs through proposal preparations, technical quality control reviews, and quality management plan implementation.
When he isn’t leading or supporting operations, Aguiade enjoys spending time with his family and friends cycling, swimming, and playing volleyball. You might also find him reading books on organizational strategy, change management, leadership, and team building.
