With more than 20 years of experience, Morgan works at the intersection of mining, finance, environmental permitting, and reclamation liability. He has led and supported environmental impact assessments, industrial and mining permitting and water licensing, and mine closure (both active and abandoned) across Canada and the US. Having managed many preliminary economic assessments and feasibility studies, he has a deep knowledge of mine design.
Morgan has consulted for Indigenous groups, regulators, and mining companies—giving him a full understanding of the various drivers in project development and mine closure. He strives to apply modern, holistic solutions in mine reclamation and mine development projects. Morgan also understands how project design can affect project impacts and reclamation, and how these can interact with financing and permitting.
When he’s not working with mine reclamation and development projects, Morgan is a voracious reader. He also enjoys making music using his modular synthesizer.
