Joe is a physical hydrogeologist who has worked as a consultant, in academia, and as a government regulator. He specializes in three-dimensional geological and conceptual site models as applied to hydrogeological problems.
Creating public geoscience products and integrating science into policy has led to Joe’s understanding of Alberta’s complex regulatory, geological, and hydrogeological frameworks. His knowledge of data resources provides clients with advanced hydrogeological interpretation in geological settings across Alberta and other parts of Canada. His experience has included developing high-resolution 3D models, spill response, dewatering, groundwater interference assessments, and the design and execution of physical characterization and monitoring programs.
Joe strives to foster a healthy and stable environment for his family through hard work, innovation, and integrity. Passions outside of work include gardening, brewing, hunting and fishing, running, and mountain biking.
