A seasoned structural engineer, Josie has a diverse portfolio that includes bridges, infrastructure, hydraulic systems, and commercial and residential buildings. She has designed with various structural materials such as steel, masonry, timber, and both reinforced and prestressed concrete.
For bridge projects, Josie has developed varying tender and detailed designs of prestressed concrete plank and Super-T road bridges. She’s also undertaken load rating assessments of various existing road bridges and culverts as well as provided independent verification of third-party work. She takes pride in creating structures that foster community connections. A notable project in her career was the Greenbank Oxley Creek Bridge. Collaborating with a design and construct (D&C) contractor, she performed detailed structural analyses and design modifications to meet specific construction requirements.
When she isn’t working on bridges and other structures, Josie enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
