A senior structural engineer, Wael has more than 25 years of experience in the engineering industry as well as the academic field. Having designed several buildings in North America and overseas, Wael is also an author and peer reviewer of several technical publications. He is a licensed engineer in several jurisdictions in Canada and the United States.
Wael enjoys working with multidisciplinary teams and making friends at work that share his values. He gets excited about sharing new engineering systems that could potentially save clients time and money. Wael enjoys exploring new ideas and constantly expanding his knowledge base. He’s responsible for acting as the structural engineer of record on many building projects, including new construction and upgrades for numerous clients including the federal and municipal governments.
Outside of work, Wael enjoys fishing, biking, exercising, and spending time with his family. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Windsor, and co-owns a US patent for an innovative FRP strengthening system.
