Photo of Allison

Part of our Emergency Management and Community Resilience practice in the US West, Allison has spent the last decade helping corporations, utilities, and state and local governments be better prepared for resisting and recovering from natural and manmade disasters. This includes seismic events, floods, wildfires, storm surge, and inundation.

A nationally-recognized expert in resilience, Allison brings an ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a wide variety of stakeholders—from public works, facilities managers, and emergency and risk managers. She’s able to gain a consensus and assess vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies, and prioritizing improvements for climate and seismic disasters.

In addition to her project work, Allison leads the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Infrastructure Resilience Division - Disaster Reconnaissance and Recovery Committee. She’s traveled with teams to Chile, Japan, and Mexico earthquake subduction zones to study infrastructure damage, emergency response and recovery, and infrastructure impacts on response and recovery.
