Aron blends endless curiosity, his value of continuous learning, and passion for his work to improve the lives of people, their communities, and the environment by applying technical knowledge to solve problems.
In his experience as a geotechnical engineer, he has worked on projects across Canada, particularly in northern and permafrost regions. His M.Sc. studies focused on cold-weather construction practices, thermal modelling, and performance monitoring of highway embankments constructed over permafrost. Recently, he’s worked on a number of northern-based projects including, the design of a non-hazardous waste facility, and a geotechnical assessment for a new sewage lagoon in the Nunavut communities of Coral Harbour, and Sanikiluaq.
Aron enjoys learning about places and cultures through the direct experience of travel, whether it is trips in Northern Canada for work, or vacation trips to Mongolia, South Korea, or Peru, and to see extended family in Thailand and Trinidad. When at home, he enjoys spending time with his young family and being in nature.
