Jennifer Petroff

Lighting and Control Specialist

Photo of Jennifer

Jennifer is passionate about light. Drawing on her experience in lighting and control, she designs solutions tailored to the needs of each project and collaborates on a variety of projects requiring photometric knowledge. She emphasizes the extent to which lighting can influence atmosphere, improve visual comfort, enhance architecture, reinforce safety, and even have an impact on mood and productivity.

Whether it's photometrics, renderings, modeling, or reports, Jennifer’s work combines aesthetics, sustainability, and functionality. She works with engineers and architects to integrate her lighting solutions into the overall project design, while complying with the industry's energy efficiency standards. Jennifer’s particularly proud of her contribution to the design of the Val-d'Or Native Friendship Centre, a project that allowed her to use lighting to enhance nature and the artwork of native artists.

When she’s not lighting up projects with her designs, Jennifer volunteers with the Shriners Hospital for Children and with the Montreal branch of the Illuminating Engineering Society, a not-for-profit organization that promotes good practice in lighting.
