Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, SJ has 37 years of experience in environmental consulting. He’s currently serving as the Rocky Mountain region’s Energy sector leader and the environmental services account manager for our work with Kinder Morgan. SJ is currently in his fourth year serving on the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) Foundation’s Environment Standing Committee.
SJ has extensive experience in managing and coordinating the preparation of many environmental impact assessment-related documents, primarily for large, multi-state, pipeline projects. He finds that, while assisting pipeline operators with permitting their pipeline projects can be one of the most grueling jobs there is—it can also be extremely rewarding. Over the past ten years, SJ has primarily been involved in client development and client relationship management including business development and marketing activities. Major pipelines he has managed include Kinder Morgan’s Rockies Express (REX) West Pipeline Project and TC Energy’s Keystone XL (KXL) Pipeline Project, Steele City Segment.
SJ is an identical twin, a grandfather to toddling twin granddaughters, and an avid fly-fisherman. When he’s not working, he can be found casting flies on rivers and lakes throughout the Rocky Mountains and/or stalking bonefish in the Caribbean.
