Chuck is a code specialist in our healthcare design division. Drawing from more than 45 years of experience in the construction industry, Chuck delivers technical expertise on code compliance, sustainable design, and the integration of mechanical/electrical/plumbing and structural systems on the architectural aspects of a project.
He’s a recognized expert for code compliance and has extensive knowledge of the International Code Council suite as well as other standards and rating systems including NFPA, ADA, and ANSI accessibility standards, and LEED. He’s also an expert on healthcare-specific codes and standards such as FGI Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Hospitals, FGI Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Outpatient Facilities, US Pharmacopeia on Compounding, and more. Chuck has served as a code consultant on various projects for Stantec offices throughout the US and Canada and as a third-party reviewer for municipal building departments.
Chuck is committed to keeping community in mind. He’s a board member for the Arc Alliance in Montgomery County, PA, a former board and executive committee member of the Arc of Butler County, a representative to the Multi-County Advocacy/Governmental Affairs Committee, and he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan’s Purse, and Compassion International. He was the 2019 recipient of the James Kling Fellowship Award from the AIA-MBA Joint Committee.
