Scott routinely draws on his decades of construction compliance experience when presented with a project permitting challenge. With over 30 years of experience leading utility siting and permitting, he brings comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape and has developed effective strategies for navigating the California Public Utility Commission’s (CPUC’s) electric transmission permitting process.
Although Scott has mostly supported the energy sector, he is most proud of his two years as the construction manager for an ambitious habitat restoration project. The project reconfigured a stream channel and floodplain with bioengineered revetments and native plantings. Approximately 300,000 trees and shrubs were grown from seed collected within the watershed to establish over 80 acres (32 hectares) of riparian woodland and oak savannah. All within an active bald eagle nesting area!
When not solving his client’s energy project permitting challenges, Scott escapes the busy San Francisco Bay Area for the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Range where he enjoys hiking and recreating with his wife and two sons.
