Kristian knows all about integrity—and we don’t just mean his strong moral character. As a manager and senior materials engineer, Kristian helps pipelines and industrial facilities operate safely and efficiently by monitoring equipment integrity and providing expertise in mechanical design, materials selection, and malfunction analysis.
Driven by the pursuit of knowledge, Kristian is part of efforts to apply data science as a tool to increase safety, lower operational costs, and better inform professionals who make important decisions. As part of the Energy Transition, Kristian has focused much effort on the integrity aspects of hydrogen as a low carbon fuel. His experience covers research and development, engineering design, field services, and asset integrity work on major projects in Alberta—including Enbridge’s South Edmonton Terminal Expansion and turnarounds at Imperial Oil Limited’s Strathcona Refinery.
On his bus commute, Kristian reads and takes online courses covering everything from business management to programming in Python and Swift. He’s also become quite good at typing on bumpy roads.
