Kathleen supports the delivery of health impact assessments, equality impact assessments (EIAs), and human health assessments for EIAs. She advises clients on designing healthier places that incorporate inclusive design principles and evidence-based pathways to secure positive outcomes.
Prior to joining us, Kathleen was a public health researcher and evaluation specialist at the University of Edinburgh. Through her academic research experience, she has worked on a range of projects including measuring the impact of green space on health, evaluating NHS service delivery projects, and understanding the impact of COVID-19 on young people’s health and wellbeing. She also led a master’s-level course on the use of evaluation methods in a global health context.
Kathleen grew up in the Outer Hebrides and has a deep appreciation for the importance of community and keeping it at the forefront of designs. Outside of work, she enjoys road cycling and is a keen food, music, and rugby fan.
