Kat is a geotechnical engineering intern in our Markham office and has experience with pre-feasibility mine investigations, project management, and hydrogeological and geotechnical engineering for urban development projects. She collects, manages, and analyzes geotechnical data for the preparation of technical reports to support foundation design, horizontal directional drilling, micro-tunneling, municipal services, slope assessments, and Ministry of Transportation of Ontario highway infrastructure expansion projects.
Since joining us, Kat has coordinated various field programs and managed public and private utility locating requests. She has supervised contracted drilling activities to carry out geotechnical and environmental soil sampling, detailed rock core logging, and monitoring well installations. Kat currently focuses on completing rock slope assessments and consulting both before and during the construction phase of rock slope mitigation.
When she isn’t refining her geotechnical engineering skills, Kat enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and playing volleyball.
