As project communications lead for our Buildings team, Monica crafts compelling—sometimes even poetic—stories that bring inspired design principles to life through words. Thoughts and ideas become tangible content as she works with engineering and architectural practice leads to create business development materials for clients and content for proposals.
Positivity defines her work ethic. Collaborating with her teams, Monica manages communications on projects, integrating architecture and engineering disciplines. The main focus of her business development activities? She works to grow our portfolio in the civic sector with our engineering and architecture team, which encompasses buildings that serve the community—community and recreation centers, affordable housing, and cultural centers. Currently, she’s co-leading the Bear Creek Stadium project in Surrey, British Columbia. She also serves as the regional lead in British Columbia’s developing professional group (DPG).
Food is everything to Monica! When she’s not working with words, she loves to check out all the great food spots that Vancouver has to offer and finds trying out new recipes in the kitchen therapeutic.
