Over his three-decade career, Michael has provided strategic sustainability advisory services to Fortune 500 companies, the public sector, and non-governmental organizations like the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. He helps our clients reduce risks and enhance enterprise value as they navigate their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) obligations and aspirations.
Michael is committed to applying his deep knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting, mitigation, and resilience to secure a just and sustainable future. He guides clients as they move toward a low-carbon economy, addressing investor confidence, customer demands, employee expectations, and compliance with protocols like the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures and the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. Notably, he was recognized by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for his contributions to their receipt of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
Michael’s favorite activity is spending time with his wife of nearly 30 years and their three adult daughters. You can also find him at a Maryland Terrapin Basketball game, looking for his golf ball in the rough of the local municipal golf course, or anguishing over the health of the thoroughbred racehorse in which he owns a very tiny share.
