Randy has been interested in engineering for as long as he can remember. During his university co-op program, he was inspired to pursue the transportation field and has since gained a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of transportation and leadership.
With more than 16 years of experience as a transportation engineer, Randy has done everything from field investigations and preliminary surveys to detailed design using modelling software and field fitting designs during construction. In recent years, he has been heavily involved in many projects in a leadership and management position such as the 65 Avenue and Queen Elizabeth II Interchange and Yellowhead Trail East Widening projects. As a leader, Randy has a “door is always open” policy. He was fortunate to have great mentors throughout his career so he feels that paying it forward is the least he can do.
In his spare time, Randy can usually be found exploring new parts of the city with his two young boys or taking on a new woodworking project to pass some time.
