With 20 years of experience working on healthcare projects across Canada and around the world, Gavin brings an intrinsic understanding of all facets surrounding project delivery--from master planning and community consultation to occupancy and post-occupancy evaluation. Many of his projects have involved public-private partnerships (P3), which he has applied experience from both the client and proponent side, along with lessons learned, to secure the client's vision and guiding principles while leaving room for innovation and value.
Gavin primarily focuses on mental health design within healthcare and justice facilities, creating safe, recovery-based environments that benefit community, client, and staff wellbeing. Some of these projects have helped transform the way mental healthcare is delivered in Canada. This includes work at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health on Phases 1C Redevelopment and 1D Forensic Mental Health.
Gavin takes a calm, transparent, and consensus-based approach to his work and believes in being accountable to the client and community each project serves.
