With a background in water resources engineering, Ailsa has always enjoyed interfacing between technical work and policy, helping clients to find solutions to their problems through both engineered solutions and funding opportunities. Ailsa supports numerous United States and Canadian agencies, municipalities, and utilities in her engineering work.
As our North America Funding Program Canada West Lead, Ailsa also helps clients close the gap on their project costs by matching them with provincial and federal funding sources. She has helped clients secure millions in funding, and has experience working on numerous top Canadian funds, including the Green and Inclusive Community Building, Disaster Mitigation and Adaption, and FASmart Renewables and Electrification Pathways fund from Natural Resources Canada, as well as provincial and lending institution funds, such as the Alberta Water for Life Fund.
Ailsa is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) in British Columbia, serves as chair-elect for her university’s Career Center board, and is involved with a grant-making committee focused on the water resources sector. She’s a marathon runner and is looking forward to completing her first 50 kilometre skate ski race next year.
