Seeing a need in his hometown, Dave started his own engineering firm in Silver City in 1978. He expanded into several offices around New Mexico before he and the firm joined Stantec in 2018. Over his career, he’s successfully completed engineering oversight for planning, design, construction, and project management on more than 500 municipal, county, and state public works projects ranging in construction value from less than $200 thousand to upwards of $100 million.
Today, Dave still calls Silver City home while overseeing transportation projects across the state. He’s applied his project management skills to recent projects like the Central Arizona Project (New Mexico Unit), US 180 Multiuse Path, and the Jal Relief Route.
Dave believes that the key to success in the consulting business is to seek to understand your client’s needs from their perspective and then to serve them accordingly.
